How to do it
- 1Set tension to the lightest level appropriate for the patient.
- 2Drill 1, Pass-overs: 10 slow reps, focus on full overhead range.
- 3Drill 2, Wall slides with bar: 8 reps, shoulder blades guided down and back.
- 4Drill 3, External rotation isometrics: bar pressed outward, 5 holds × 10s per side.
- 5Drill 4, Reach-and-row: 8 reps per side, slow tempo.
What it's good for
- • A consistent homework block patients can do anywhere.
- • Tension scales easily, same drill, different load.
- • Easy to demo in clinic; no big equipment footprint.
Coaching cues
- • Clinicians: dose per patient, this is a template, not a protocol.
- • Patients: stop and contact your provider if symptoms worsen.
- • Track reps and tension setting between visits.
